Frontier Way Dog Training

Andy, Jo and the children moved to Southern Ireland in May 2007.

Ireland has a population of approx 4 million people, with mostly working dogs within a very large farming community.

Although most homes have a dog, very few live in the home, they are usually kept in outbuildings but are loved never-the-less.

Unfortunately, there is a huge puppy farm market in Ireland - therefore we decided to re-educate people on the importance of vet care and simple obedience training.

Over the last few years we have helped and assisted close to 450 dogs with owner problems (owners who don’t know how to communicate with their beloved K9 friends) and slowly but surely things are starting to change.

As we do not advertise, the majority of owners and K9 friends are introduced to us by personal recommendations.

As a family, we also do a lot of volunteer work with various animal charities - you can find us twice a year at the Pet World NEC ("MOT"), who run a free of charge event for anyone who has a pet - there is a qualified Vet, a Nutritionist and ourselves.

Imagine our suprise on the last Pet World NEC ("MOT") that the Nutritionist who travelled from Dublin was someone Andy recognised - her name was Julie!. 20 years ago she was one of Kath's long term pupils, "small world" there were tears all round.
